It’s also been announced that the show will move to the 8:00pm timeslot. If memory serves, this is where the show began. I don’t particularly think it matters but I just hope there isn’t any pressure from the network to “clean up” some of the racier show elements. So long as it shares an evening bracket with the fratty humor of Two and a Half Men I think it should be OK.

How I Met Your Mother has officially been picked up by CBS for a fifth season.CBS has confirmed that How I Met Your Mother season 5 will premiere on September 21st at 8pm.I didn’t think the show was in any jeopardy but it is nice that all that “on the bubble” worry of previous season finales is gone. Congratulations to Bays, Thomas, Fryman, and the entire cast for another year!
